Michael Gentry oversees Kettering Health as its chief executive officer (CEO). Michael joined Kettering Health in 2023, coming from Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as the chief operating officer (COO). In his role as COO, he led a team that accomplished top-decile clinical, operational, and financial performance. Before joining Sentara, he served as the president/CEO of AdventHealth’s Memorial System. He is a passionate advocate for finding innovative ways to prevent disease and promotes a “whole person” view of health.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southern Adventist University and his Master of Business Administration from La Sierra University.
