Congressman Pat Tiberi to serve as new Ohio Business Roundtable president and CEO
For Immediate Release – October 19, 2017
COLUMBUS, OHIO – Ohio Business Roundtable Executive Committee Chairman Gary R. Heminger announced today that Ohio Congressman Pat Tiberi, who has announced his retirement as representative for Ohio’s 12th District, will serve as the Ohio Business Roundtable’s president and CEO beginning early next year.
Tiberi was first elected to represent Ohio’s 12th Congressional District in 2000. During his time in Congress he worked to further policies seeking a smaller, less intrusive government, lower taxes, greater national security and a growing and expanding economy that creates jobs. Before serving in Congress, Congressman Tiberi was majority leader in the Ohio legislature.
“Congressman Tiberi’s tenure in the Ohio statehouse, his time in the U.S. Congress and his position on the House Committee on Ways and Means, have given him a deep insight into the needs of Ohio businesses and the legislative and regulatory matters we face,” said Heminger. “We are proud to welcome him to the Ohio Business Roundtable, and look forward to his leadership.”
Richard A. Stoff, current president and CEO of the Roundtable, will retire at the end of this year. Stoff, 68, was a founder of the Roundtable and its only president and CEO in its 25-year history. “For 25 years, we have benefited from Richard’s talent, vision and leadership,” said Heminger. “Richard has been instrumental in establishing the Roundtable as a catalyst for change that improves our state’s competitiveness, and as we continue our important work, we thank him for his dedication and wish him all the best in the years ahead.”
