Phillip R. Cox is a native of Cincinnati. For over forty years he has been the President and CEO of Cox Financial Corporation. During that span, he has received numerous industry awards and accolades. He has also served on a number of boards in the Midwest area. Among those are Duke Energy, BDM International, PNC Bank, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland where he was Audit Committee Chair. Additionally, he has also served as Chairman of the Board for the University of Cincinnati and Chairman of the Board for the United Way of Cincinnati. He currently serves on numerous Corporate Boards, including Cincinnati Bell (Chairman of the Board), Bethesda Hospital (Chairman of the Investment Committee), Touchstone Mutual Funds (Director), Timken Company (Director and Chairman of the Finance Committee) and Diebold, Inc. (Director and Chairman of Compensation Committee).
Mr. Cox currently serves the state of Ohio both as Chairman of the Business Alliance for Higher Education and the Economy and the Co-Chairman of the Ohio Business Roundtable. Locally, he served Cincinnati as Chairman of the prestigious Cincinnati Business Committee (CBC), which is comprised of the twenty-five most influential companies in the Cincinnati area. Mr. Cox is also a member of the Cincinnati Commercial Club and the Management Executive Society and holds a Doctorate of Letters Degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati Technical College, and the University of Cincinnati.
