Governor Mike DeWine has selected Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters to an empty seat on the Ohio Supreme Court. This appointment was made possible by the election of Sharon Kennedy, Pat Fischer and Pat DeWine, three candidates the Ohio Business Roundtable endorsed on the November 2022 ballot.
Pat Tiberi, President and CEO of the Ohio Business Roundtable, issued the following statement regarding Joe Deters' appointment:
I applaud the Governor’s appointment of Prosecutor Joe Deters to the Ohio Supreme Court. Joe has a strong, proven track record throughout his legal tenure for upholding the law and protecting families, communities and businesses.

Joe Deters will be sworn in January 2023.
